The ethos of Abbeyhill Baptist Church arises from the experience of Christ’s love in our lives. It is His love which motivates us  in our relationships  with God and with men and women, whether within or outwith the church. We seek to respond to God through commitment to  His will as  revealed in Christ  and the scriptures and, bound together in our common faith,  to show Christ’s love in our actions.  As we work together and help those who wish  to respond to Christ’s  love, and as we serve others, we desire  to show integrity in all our dealings, accepting each person, treating them with respect and understanding.

We Believe the Bible is our authority. The Bible was given as a revelation from God about himself and that the Bible is profitable for doctrine and reproof.

We Believe God became man in the person of Jesus, that He suffered and died for our sins. He was buried and rose from the grave on the third day.

We Believe man is sinful and needs a saviour.

We Believe To escape the wrath and curse of God due to us for sin, God requires of us faith in Jesus Christ, and a turning from our sin into life.
